Autumn Luxury Travel Destination

Autumn brings with it a change in season across the globe – depending on where you are in the world, that could be the European Summer to Winter transition or the Southern Hemisphere’s Winter to Summer.

What is entirely definitive is that the months of September and October bring colour, style and breathtaking views. So where should you be heading to as the leaves turn golden?

Harvest festivals are huge in the Italian Autumn and for a country so highly regarded for its gastronomically incredible cuisine, you very much do not want to miss it. Picture the warm glow of the evening sunset whilst you delight the taste buds with a traditional wine tasting, or a day spent Tuscan truffle hunting in the forest. The sights, the sounds and colours of this beautiful Italian countryside is a pleasure for all the senses.

Arrival in Kyoto, Japan needs to be timed to complete perfection if you wish to witness the truly stunning and world famous scenery of the fall foliage. The fall leaves tend to begin their change sometime around mid October and you have around two months to see it in all its colourful glory.

*Top tip: Make it an early morning journey at breakfast to see it without the crowds.

Warm reds and dazzling yellows will greet you on arrival to this North American destination. The country’s scenery appears at its very best just before the big Winter freeze takes hold.

There are also 22 wineries along the Brome-Missisquoi Wine Route, we of course don’t recommend visiting them all (time is of the essence) however, sampling some of Quebec’s finest crafted wine is an absolute must on the agenda.

Berlin, Germany

Autumn can be the best time to visit Berlin, particularly as the temperatures level out before they drop significantly for Winter and there’s a whole host of opportunities to experience something special. There’s the Festival of Light within the city, the breathtaking scenery of its  many green spaces contrasted with the urban street art.

*Top Tip: Pay a visit to the restaurant Einsunternull – a Michelin starred restaurant which strives to answer the question ‘what is Berlin?’ through culinary expertise. You absolutely won’t be disappointed!
