Vertis Aviation adds fifteenth aircraft to portfolio as Global joins South African fleet
Six months after opening its Johannesburg office Vertis Aviation has added a fourth aircraft to its Africa based portfolio. The latest addition to the fleet is based in Johannesburg, and registered on the Fortune Air (PTY) Ltd AOC. The aircraft, which is already serving client needs, comfortably seats 12 passengers in its newly outfitted, contemporary styled, all white cabin. The front of the cabin incorporates seating for 10 in a combination of club seating, whilst the aft provides two club seating along with a three seat divan that can be turned into a bed for overnight flights. Destined for long range flights the cabin also benefits from the capacity to reconfigure the seating; and features an integrated Bluray entertainment system with a cabin management system. With an operating range of 5000 nautical miles it is anticipated the aircraft will be popular with those requiring links between south and north Africa, in addition to connections between Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The addition of the Global to Vertis’ South African mix further strengthens its heavy jet offering in the region acknowledging that many trips are long intra- as well as inter-continental. “The growing Vertis customer base is defined by Heads of State, ultra-high net worth individuals, and captains of industry, so we want to be sure we can provide the most suitable aircraft for their needs. The opportunity is immense which is why we have added this latest aircraft to the fleet,” says Jeffery Emmenis, Partner Vertis Aviation.
The new addition extends Vertis’ current offering in the region which already includes a 2015 ultra-long range Bombardier Global 6000, medium range Bombardier Learjet 45 and a Boeing 727VIP. With access to an AgustaWestland 139 helicopter the fleet collectively meets virtually any business aviation mission.
The Global which is available immediately for charter strengthens the Vertis north to south coverage with offices in the UK, Switzerland, UAE and South Africa marketing a growing long range fleet featuring four Airbus A319 ACJ’s, a Boeing Business Jet BBJ1, Gulfstream G450 G550 and G650, a Boeing 727-VIP, Bombardier Global 6000, Bombardier Global XRS and Global Express, and a Dassault Falcon 7X.
